About
Hi, I’m Sean Lim, an American expat living in South Korea. This is my blog about becoming a Seoulite.
What is a Seoulite?
A ‘Seoulite’ (서울깍쟁이) is a citizen of Seoul, just as a ‘New Yorker’ is a citizen of New York. Of course the label ‘Seoulite’ doesn’t simply denote a place of residence - calling yourself a Seoulite means the spirit and body of the city clicks with your identity. Seoulites live in a blended world of Korean tradition and international capitalism… and love both aspects! Seoulites are fast-paced, hard-working, fun-loving and forward-looking.
About Sean
Before moving to Korea, I was the Artistic Director of the Asian American Theater Company in San Francisco (www.asianamericantheater.org) and an Agent Trainee at United Talent Agency in Beverly Hills (www.unitedtalent.com). I am a writer and for fun I am the World News correspondent for Arirang TV and Radio in Seoul (www.arirang.co.kr).
The Seoulite received his BA in International Relations and MA in Sociology from Stanford University, where he also received training as a classical theater artist.
