Kim Yu-na Wins Short Program

Hooray for Kim Yu-na! She has beat her own world-record at the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver with a score of 78.50. This puts her in first place in the running for the medals that will be decided in the last event to be held this Friday morning Korea time!

Yuna Kim Breaks Figure Skating Record

South Korea’s most famous figure skater Kim Yuna (김연아) broke a new world record in figure skating at the 2009 International Skating Union Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Vancouver, Canada.

She beat her own world record of 71.95 in the 2007 World Championship in Tokyo, Japan with a new world record score of 72.24 points.

She gets soooo many flowers and dolls thrown at the end of her performances by fans.  I wonder how long the next skater actually has to wait before her routine!
